Live meditation with Danis Bois – A loving Full-Presence – 23 March 2022 – (#6)

We continue on the theme of how we can meditate together despite the distance, which is the main theme of this term, with a meditation that takes us step by step through the various forms of presence towards a Loving Full-Presence. Danis Bois introduced the meditation by explaining the connection between Full-Presence and the experience of the inner movement which is the special feature of Full-Presence Meditation. We then went into the meditation which explored the various kinds of presence at play: presence in its spatial as well as temporal dimensions, self-presence, presence to others, presence to the world and presence to what is greater than we are, leading to Loving Full-Presence, following a step-by-step process: First, being in the intention of experiencing presence by creating an inner space where we are open and available. Establishing the conditions for silence: remaining silent, listening to the silence and inhabiting the silence with our presence : “Presence can then become more of a quality, more relational and more whole”. Exploring presence in its spatial dimension: “It’s first becoming aware that you are physically somewhere in particular, in your body and within yourself: where your body is, you are”. Exploring the temporal dimension …

Meditation for Ukrainians – Human Solidarity through Full Presence Meditation – (Danis Bois)

The theme of this meditation led by Danis Bois on 2 March was inspired by a participant who wondered about the possibility of taking world peace as a focus for meditation. Thus, more than 370 participants mobilized to, in their own way, participate in human solidarity and meditate for the Ukrainian people. It is this meditation that we offer you today. The 38 minute video includes 4 minutes of introduction, then a 25 minute meditation guided by Danis Bois, followed by a 7 minute summary. We invite you to meditate on the hummingbird approach, dear to Pierre Rabhi, where each person participates in his or her own way in the balance of things, with the aim of solidarity with and for the world. Danis Bois, Doctor of Education, has been meditating for over 40 years and is co-author of the book “La méditation pleine présence, les 7 voies d’accès à la chaleur humaine” published by Eyrolles. Danis Bois leads a weekly meditation open to all those interested in meditation, with the general theme this quarter being “learn to mediate together”

Live Meditation with Danis Bois – 13 October 2021 – With time, everything arises – Living the present moment (#33 replay)

This meditation led by Danis Bois is part of a cycle of 3 meditations on the relationship to time, objective time, subjective time and present time. It invites us to give time time. Introduction I briefly went over the various aspects of time we talked about in the previous meditation. Objective time as the physical time that is the same for us all. It is the time of the clock, seen as a succession of moments. It is also the time that is divided into past, present, future, years, hours, minutes, seconds. Finally, it is the time that relates to the physical phenomenon of the revolution of the Earth around the Sun Subjective time, unique to each of us and dependent on our individual perception. This perspective is an invitation to change how we see the time of the clock with its hands moving in a sporadic way marking seconds. Subjective time on the other hand flows continuously bringing the past into the present Subjective time on the other hand flows continuously bringing the past into the present Present time, that cannot be dissociated from motion. I then presented the theme of today’s meditation: living the present moment. We all …

Live meditation with Danis Bois – 6 October 2021 – With time, everything arises – The various aspects of temporality (#32 replay)

This week, Danis Bois begins a series of three meditations on the relationship to time, a relationship that brings into play the psychological dimension of each individual. The first meditation consists of an exploration of nine different facets of temporality. Introduction The general theme of the next three meditations “With time, everything arises” challenges the representation that, in the words of singer Léo Ferré “With time, everything vanishes”. Until now, I have emphasized the relational dimension of Full Presence (presence to… and/or resonance). Until now, I have emphasized the relational dimension of Full Presence (presence to… and/or resonance). As to the temporal dimension of presence, I have approached it as being presence to the present. These three meditations around past, present and future temporality give me the opportunity to explore the psychological dimension of temporality. The various aspects of temporarility Time exists outside of us independently of all things, according to Newton Time does not really exist, from Aristotle’s point of view. Time does not exist as it consists of a past that no longer exists, of a future that is not yet here and of a present that continuously disappears.”. Time is a passage, a way through from the …

Live meditation with Danis Bois – 30/06/2021 – The love energy (#26 Replay)

This meditation brings to an end our 2nd term of Full-Presence Meditation The next meditation term will start on 1 September. You can subscribe now by going to the page “meditate live in videoconference with Danis Bois”. Introduction In the introduction, I reviewed the various themes that were developed during this term of meditation: transmission, resonance, sense of existing and spatial dimension (the inside, the outside and what is greater than we are) I refered back to the meditation on the theme of transmission by reviewing the internal signs that allow us to recognise whether the meditation conveys a transmission : the presence of an inner movement, the sense of not being the cause of this inner driving force, the sense of feeling protected, the qualities of the mind and finally the divine dimension of the experience. It is from the latter that I introduced the notion of universal love, or cosmic love, by referring to what Teillhard de Chardin tells us, who considers love to be an energy, a spiritual force of the matter. My strongest belief is that something that is loving constitutes the deepest nature of the universe in expansion. If matter has a heart, it is …

Live meditation 02-06-2021 – The internal signs of the sense of existing (#22 Replay)

Today’s meditation follows on from the previous two on the feeling of existing. Danis Bois guides meditators towards the exploration of the internal indicators constituting the feeling of existing carried by the Sensitive. Introduction Some of us have at some point in their life the sense that they do not exist. To illustrate this, I referred to the experience of boredom and of monotony, where every day brings the same things and interlesting happenings are lacking, as well as other examples such as being unable to assert oneself or to exist in the eyes of others. As a remedy to this sense of not existing and furthering the previous meditations, I offered a meditation based on the processual spiral of the relationship to the Sensible body. This concept is particular to Full-Presence Meditation and reflects the bodily-felt experiences that appear in the meditative experience in the form of feelings generated in the connection with the inner movement and/or a motionlessness of rest. Immersion Having established the three necessary conditions to connect the experience of the Sensible, I invited the meditators to explore the seven internal signs that express the inner journey towards the sense of existing. • Exploring the seven …

Live meditation 26-05-2021 – The sense of existing – #21 Replay

In this full presence meditation(#20), which follows the meditation on emptiness and wholeness, (#20 free access)Danis Bois explores the feeling of existence, where feeling is associated with an act of consciousness that nourishes the feeling of permanent certainty of oneself and one’s uniqueness. During our last meditation ((#20), we explored together the experience of emptiness from the central question of whether emptiness is a contradiction in terms with the sense of existing. The meditation today developed the notion of sense of existing, particularly when we are immersed in the depth of Full-Presence Meditation Introduction I introduced the sense of existing through my own experience of meditation. The more I immerse myself in the fullness of emptiness, the more I feel I exist. I am at that moment absolutely aware that I exist, independently of my characteristics and what constitutes me in relation to my own existence. Danis Bois This nature of sensing is at the root of our singularity. It’s a sense-feeling combined with an act of awareness: ‘I know that I exist because I feel that I exist’. Immersion I reviewed little by little what constitutes the various subtleties of the certainty of self revealed through Full-Presence Meditation, and …

Live meditation 19-05-2021 Emptiness and plenitude (Episode#20)

This meditation, which is part of a series of three meditations on the theme of the sense of existing, centres on emptiness and plenitude. The central question is this : are ‘emptiness’ and ‘sense of existing’ contradictory terms ? As we will see later on, the notion of ‘sense of existing’ refers to a particular and singular way of being. Whereas, in common parlance, emptiness refers to a notion of being empty, to an absence, a lack of consistance, of interest or of pleasure. Whereas, in common parlance, emptiness refers to a notion of being empty, to an absence, a lack of consistance, of interest or of pleasure. It is the second time that I hear you talk about emptiness. Having studied Buddhist meditation, can you clarify what you mean by this term ? You have also said later on in the meditation: “We are not looking for emptiness, but for plenitude”. This resonated as in fact I have always understood emptiness to be, for me, plenitude”. Elodie C. Introduction I did not wish to talk on emptiness and sense of existing, so I suggested that we immerse ourselves directly in the meditation by creating the conditions for emptiness. Immersion …

Live meditation with Danis Bois – Resonance – A summary (Replay#19)

This is the third meditation we have done on the theme of resonance. I started our session by answering a question from Sylvie Rosenberg, a long-standing friend: “Tell me, do you make a difference between resonance and actuating reciprocity ? Or do you use the term ‘resonance’ as it is better known ?” I use the term ‘resonance’ as it is commonly used and understood by all. I use the term ‘resonance’ as it is commonly used and understood by all. It also fits within the paradigm of support, mentoring and personnal development approaches. Actuating reciprocity is the resonance that occurs through the inner movement, which then becomes a channel of transmission from self to self, from self to others, from self to nature and from self to what is greater than us. The various dimensions of resonance I went on to clarify the various dimensions of resonance. For resonance to be, there needs to be: An encounter with something or someone (a gaze, a sound, a gesture, touch, words, an attitude) A feeling (sensation, emotion, a sensing, mood) A welcoming attitude (listening, interest, attention) A relational quality (empathy, sympathy, compassion, benevolence) Something catching the attention (being touched, involved, engaged) …

Live meditation with Danis Bois – Entering into resonance with ourself

This meditation follows on from the previous meditation and explores the theme of resonance, and more precisely: How to enter into resonance with ourself? In the brief introduction, I recalled the three key elements that are linked with the unfolding of the meditation. Through resonance, we feel alive. Through resonance, we feel involved. Through resonance we can begin to echo with the outside world, with ourself and with others. Danis Bois The meditation I started by creating the conditions for the meditation, with a particular emphasis on relating and resonating with the silence. We have taken our time, and observing the silence has become a quality of silence, and the quality of silence has become a quality of presence, and this is the condition to create resonance. Danis Bois In the immersion phase, I guided the meditators towards these attitudes: Having the intention to feel, not to understand Appreciating the moments of silence that slip in between the words Having a sense of pride in being able to offer yourself a moment, for yourself Cultivating a sense of kinship to benefit from the collective resonance Welcoming everything that arises. I then led the meditators to become aware of what they …
